Read requirements against your actual record
Compare your subjects and qualifications with the course’s published prerequisites. If equivalence is unclear, ask admissions rather than converting grades yourself. An informal GPA calculation is not a credential evaluation or proof of eligibility.
Develop interests with purpose
Projects, reading, work, volunteering, and activities can help you explore an interest. Choose experiences because they deepen your understanding, not because they resemble an imagined ideal applicant. Keep notes about what you did, what challenged you, and what you learned.
Describe accurately
Distinguish participation from leadership, group results from individual contributions, and completed work from plans. Use precise descriptions and retain evidence where appropriate. A coherent account of a modest project is more useful than an inflated account you cannot substantiate.
