Decisions and Next Steps

Understand the decision

Read the full official communication. Distinguish an offer from an invitation, a waitlist, or a request for more information. Record any conditions, response instructions, and the exact deadline with its timezone. Ask the institution about wording you do not understand.

Compare offers with context

Return to your original priorities and use confirmed information. Check the course, total costs, funding terms, housing, and practical support. A deposit, scholarship acceptance, and enrollment response can be separate decisions; verify their terms instead of assuming they are interchangeable.

Prepare for the transition

After deciding, follow the institution’s official next-step guidance. Check final records, access arrangements, housing, and any relevant immigration instructions with the responsible authority. If the outcome is disappointing, allow time to reflect before choosing whether to reapply or explore another route.
