CHAPTER 10 / 12
Admissions Strategy
Connect choices, preparation, and practical limits into one plan.
Educational planning guidance. Verify requirements with the institution and entry year. Official references checked October 23, 2026.
Make priorities explicit
A strategy is a set of reasons for your choices, not a way to predict outcomes. Identify your academic priorities, practical constraints, and the uncertainties you can reduce through research. Revisit them when you learn something that changes the fit of a program.
Coordinate the work
Map verified requirements across your list and identify shared tasks, separate tasks, and dependencies. Recommendations and official documents may depend on other people. Build your own buffer around confirmed deadlines without presenting a suggested milestone as an institution’s rule.
Plan for more than one outcome
Consider how you would respond to an offer, a different offer, or no offer. Keep alternatives grounded in your interests and circumstances. Do not assume an application category guarantees entry, or agree to binding terms without reading the institution’s published conditions.
