Start with a working brief

Write down what you want to learn, why you want to study it, and the constraints that matter to you. Separate a preference from a requirement: a city you like is different from a subject prerequisite you must satisfy. Your brief can change as you research; its purpose is to give your choices a reason.

Map what you know and what you need to verify

Create three columns: confirmed information, assumptions, and questions. Record the official source and date beside any requirement. If two pages disagree, ask the institution which applies to your course and entry year rather than choosing the more convenient interpretation.

Build a sustainable preparation habit

Choose a small recurring task: research one course, reflect on an experience, or check a document requirement. Keep academic work and wellbeing in view. Preparation should create clarity rather than a constant sense that every spare hour must become another achievement.
